I graduated from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2006 and received my undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Criminal Justice, from Trine University (formerly known as Tri-State University) with a minor in psychology in 2003.

  • In 2006, I started my legal career specializing in family law where I represented individuals in divorce, paternity, child custody as well as protective orders.

  • I went on to specialize in lemon law where I represented individuals in matters regarding breach of warranties involving vehicles. I have represented individuals in numerous mediations and arbitrations and settled over 75 cases for my lemon law clients.

  • In 2008, I became a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in Indianapolis, handling cases involving misdemeanors and felonies.

  • In 2010, I left the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office and joined the litigation department, Corporation Counsel, with the City of Indianapolis where I represented the City of Indianapolis and its various departments in civil litigation at both the state and federal level involving matters regarding tort claims, personal injury, contracts, zoning appeals, Section 1983 claims, and excessive force.

  • In 2012, I re-joined the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in the screening division focusing on filing or not filing criminal charges.

  • Prior to leaving the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office in early 2019, I had been assigned to the grand jury unit for almost 4 years where I assisted in investigations with law enforcement and the prosecution of white collar / financial crimes. I have reviewed hundreds of search warrants and subpoenas for validity and accuracy prior to submission for review by a court.  During my entire tenure as a Deputy Prosecutor, I served as lead counsel and secondary counsel on numerous suppression / evidentiary hearing, jury trials and bench trials and has appeared in court for various types of hearings on hundreds of occasions.

  • While a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, I was also a Special Appointed United States Attorney (SAUSA) for the Southern District of Indiana.

  • After 11 years in public service, I opened my own law firm, Kawiecki Law LLC.  I currently work as Of Counsel with Chambers Law Office, LLC.


Drawing on my years of experience as a trial lawyer at the prosecutor’s office and civil law experience, I am dedicated to providing a quality, thorough, and personal legal representation tor every client.

  • United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana.


I am also a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association.  When I am not assisting clients, I also teach college level courses at Butler University and Indiana Tech.  While I was growing up, I was an avid softball player and played for 16 years through college.
